THE PERFECT RESORT TO CALL YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME

Trappeur’s Crossing in Steamboat
The Perfect Resort to Call Your Home Away From Home

Trappeur’s Crossing is consistently ranked among the nation’s best resorts, but when asking owners at Trappeur’s Crossing what they love most about the resort, there are so many answers that come up it’s hard to say for sure what is the best thing about the resort.  One thing is for sure, owners and guests love all seasons here. Trappeur’s is comprised of six lodges with four pools, multiple hot tubs, a clubhouse, fitness center and tennis courts all just a short walk to the Steamboat Ski Area.

In winter, it’s an easy shuttle ride to the ski area for a day of powder skiing at the Steamboat Ski Resort followed by a relaxing hot tub to soothe those sore muscles. At night, it’s a card game or a movie by the fire. Or maybe the kids head to the clubhouse for a game of ping pong. Did I mention the indoor-outdoor pool in the clubhouse?  Relax with a hot cocoa or appetizer while the kids swim during the apres ski party.

In Spring, the resort is quiet but that doesn’t mean it’s not a great time to visit and enjoy the peace of mud season. It’s a time when locals escape for a week or two, restaurants offer great deals for meals and road bikers come out in force to get ready for the summer biking season.

In summer, after a day of hiking, biking, or exploring over 1,000 miles of public lands surrounding the area, kids play in the pool while Mom and Dad relax with a good book. Then a bar-be-que out by the pool, followed by story telling by the fire pit and some star gazing. It’s all so easy when it’s all out your door. A short walk to Gondola Square provides an abundance of entertainment options including all the activities in the Fun Zone, soaking your feet in the creek,  taking in a concert or movie on the mountain or just enjoying a meal at one of your favorite restaurants.

Fall is one of my favorite seasons where the yellow leaves take over the scenery. Nights are cool but days are still mostly sunny. It’s a great time for tennis, nearby hiking, hunting and catching the pre-season ski deals in the shops.

The condos here range in size from one bedrooms up to luxurious 5 bedrooms some with rooftop patios. All the condos are nicely appointed with underground parking and three of the lodges offer AC. Prices range from a low of around 300,000 up to over $1MM depending on size, finishes and location.

If you are looking for a year round resort with superior amenities, beautiful grounds, close to skiing but with condos that feel like home, Trappeur’s Crossing should be on your list.
